Lana Del Ray.

If you are connected to the internet then you have heard of her. The song “Video Games” went viral got her a record deal and a chance to play on Saturday Night Live. The performance was so-so but the public was harsh and some even said it was the worst performance ever on SNL. These people must not remember the lip syncing incident by Ashley Simpson or Ke$ha’s performance. The same people who LOVE watching Glee or American Idol are the ones trashing Lana’s performance. I do not trust their taste in music, her performance was not great but was nowhere near the worst ever. (These are the worst ever)

Michael Kiwanuka

Michael Kiwanuka is a British soul musician of Ugandan heritage who is signed to Communion Records. He has been compared to Bill Withers and Otis Redding, as well as Van Morrison and the Temptations.  In January 2012, the BBC announced that he had won the Sound of 2012 poll.

Electric Guest

Electric Guest is the brainchild of Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton. If Asa looks strangely familiar it’s because he is no spring chicken to the music world at large. It wasn’t too long ago that his brother – Jorma of The Lonely Island fame, asked Asa to help write a track for an SNL Digital Short.  Perhaps you may have seen it. The track even went on to win an EMMY.

Jaill

Jaill is an indie rock band formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2002. The band consists of Vincent Kircher, Austin Dutmer, and Andrew Harris. Their music is described as psych-pop, with up-beat guitar and punk music matched with dark lyrics. Their latest album, That’s How We Burn, earned them the most attention, receiving multiple reviews.
