Amazing Spider-Man International Trailer
Spider-man again. Since it has been sooo long since we had a Spider-man movie…it has been re-booted.
Oh who am I kidding I will go see it and probably like it. I kinda think that Spider-man is the best of all superheros. Not the most powerful but possible the most interesting and identifiable
Sony Pictures International released a longer cut of the Amazing Spider-Man trailer (click here for the domestic version), hoping to establish this franchise reboot for a global audience. And while this new take offers basically all that we recently saw, it does extend one or two sequences by a few seconds, and is worth a glance. We have it below:
Interestingly enough, this clip doesn’t turn the collapsing-roof sequence into the closing “money shot” of the trailer, giving us a few extra shots of Peter (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen (Emma Stone), then ending on the shot of Spidey swinging into The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) atop the Oscorp building.
It’s amazing – no pun intended – how much we now know about this upcoming blockbuster. Just a few weeks back, I was bitching about Sony needing to unleash some new footage, preferably with the Lizard, so we’d have a better idea of Spidey’s chief foe in Marc Webb’s feature. Now, between both trailers, I have a great sense of Webb’s reboot … and I couldn’t be more excited.
Oh, and great “new” shot of Spidey putting his mask back on after taking out the police officers who have detained him. Leave the mask on, Web head! This isn’t Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, after all. The Amazing Spider-Man, shot in 3D, will be in theaters on July 3. Are you getting excited for it yet?
