Let’s Build a $1 trillion USS Enterprise
It would be super duper fun!
Now I I know this sounds like a bold plan and there seems to be some missing pieces like a gravity generator (there’s a video about that below the story) and warp speed but how far off are we really?
One thing is for sure, it would be BIG! That’s what she said….

They claim the ship would be able to reach Mars in 90 days:
The Gen1 Enterprise can arrive at Mars within 90 days of leaving earth’s orbit. This is derived from various analyses sponsored by NASA that show that with mass to engine power ratios within our reach, a 90 day travel time is possible.
An anonymous electrical and systems engineer going only by the moniker BTE-Dan has posted surprisingly detailed plans for a full-scale, functioning Starship Enterprise that he claims could be built in 20 years. Though it may be tempting to scoff at such lofty ambition, the Build the Enterprise website (up all of one week) includes specifications, costs, mission plan and funding strategies, all suggesting that a serious amount of thought has gone into creating a real world counterpart to the iconic spaceship of the TV and movie series, Star Trek.
