MODOK a Possible Villain for Captain America 2?
Christopher Markus, who is working alongside Stephen McFeely, revealed that he is pushing to have MODOK as the film’s main villain.
Some set photos recently found online might be giving some weight to this story.
The set photos (i09.com) are from Iron Man 3 and feature a sign for AIM Advanced Idea Mechanics. AIM is most famous for creating the one, the only M.O.D.O.K., which remains the greatest acronym in the history of humanity. This could tie him into the Marvel movies and set up a plot for Captain America 2.
MODOK is definitely the strangest villain in the Marvel universe. it would be hard to image them adding this character to the movies but I guess anything is possible.
“I love MODOK and I think you could make a terrifying movie with MODOK but nobody seems to be on my side at the moment. I will win you over to Peter Dinklage as MODOK. If he came around the corner and you saw him floating there you would be terrified. It would be amazing. (They) really pulled off the Red Skull. It doesn’t look like a mask. It looks like it’s fully integrated into his flesh. And I want to see what they can do with MODOK.”
MODOK (acronym for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Tales of Suspense #93 (Sep. 1967) and was created byStan Lee and Jack Kirby.
