Iron Man 3 Story Update – It’s NOT the Iron Patriot
We, like many other sites, jumped on the story of the Iron Patriot being in Iron Man 3. From the set photos that were released it sure did look like that was what was happening.
The actor seen in what looked to be the Iron Patriot suit was just a stunt double for Don Cheadle. It was apparently just a fancy suit for War Machine.

Well, it turns out that information isn’t wholly correct. According to the site, the white guy wearing the armor is not James Badge Dale, but rather a stunt double for Don Cheadle (apparently all white people look the same). This would also explain why the armor that the actor is wearing looks familiar, as it’s basically the War Machine getup with a new paint job (the gattling gun on the left shoulder is a dead giveaway). Because of this, Latino-Review is backing away from the Iron Patriot title, as the armor technically already has another name.
