He does say we will see more of the Enterprise in this movie and other ships…well duuuhhh.
I do love Simon Pegg in these movies and it must be cool for him to get to play Scottie in the J.J Abrams Star Trek universe being that he himself is a nerd and “trekkie”.
Talking to IGN, Simon Pegg discussed how the Star Trek sequel fits in and differs from the 2009 Star Trek movie, saying:
It is a continuation, it is a continuing mission, but at the same time it is a new adventure, a new situation, new challenges. The architecture of the piece is still there, but it is expanded. You will see more of the Enterprise and different environments and different ships…and yes there there will be and we are very very proud of that.
