Well this post was from the canceled mission but if you own a device connected to the inter webs than yesterday you know Felix made the jump.

Here is some helmet cam footage of the action. I would have no doubt thrown up in my mask the whole way

down.

 

One thing is for sure, Red Bull is putting out some bucks for this stunt. They have a mission control and everything.

Felix Baumgartner has spent more than five years preparing for today’s jump in which he will travel by helium balloon to the inner edge of the earth’s stratosphere and then fall back down to earth, reaching the speed of sound (690 miles/hour) after only 40 seconds of freefall. – read more
