That’s my question. Really? This man is a political leader with influence. I understand if you want to have a religion. What about the separation of church an state?
This kind of stubbornness makes me crazy. If you want to believe a god created everything fine. I can maybe even get behind that but the facts are there. The universe and our planet are billions of years old. The universe is a beautiful place. Why can’t both be true? God created it all AND it’s super old.
To just say the research that scientist are doing is “lie’s from hell” is just plain dumb.
Actually I don;t even care if someone believes that but that someone is not who I want making decisions that effect others.

Rep. Paul Broun calls evolution, Big Bang ‘lies straight from the pit of hell’
The Republican lawmaker made those comments during a speech Sept. 27 at a sportsman’s banquet at Liberty Baptist Church in Hartwell. Broun, a medical doctor, is running for re-election in November unopposed by Democrats.
“God’s word is true,” Broun said, according to a video posted on the church’s website. “I’ve come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell.
