Samsung Galaxy S4 to feature eye-tracking technology

I could see this going a couple of ways. It could be awesome and you could impress your friends with your very very smart phone. It could also be super annoying. It seems the eye detecting software will be able to see that you are reading the last line of a page so it will scroll but what if you read ahead and peek at the last line of a page. Will it scroll when you are not ready?


According to the New York Times, the Galaxy S IV will feature software that tracks your eye movement. The technology will be primarily integrated with reading: finish with a page of text, and the phone will automatically scroll to the next page.

    I’m pretty impressed how these phone manufacturers always come up with something brilliant. This is probably the first eye tracking technology.
